IDP Livelihoods Workshops in Zugdidi and Gori.
The IDP Livelihood workshops were organized and conducted in Zugdidi on July 22th and Gori on July 27th by the international foundation “Action Against Hunger” (ACF) and its partner civil society organization “Social Programs Foundation” (SPF) and “Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) in the scope of “Livelihood Initiatives to Foster Employability and Entrepreneurship of IDPs and host populations in Georgia - “LIFE Georgia” project funded by the European Union (EU) in Georgia.
The IDP Livelihoods workshops were intended for and targeted local public, civil servants and representatives of the various institutions in the regions. The purpose of the workshops was twofold: 1) Introduce 2 surveys on Socio-Economic Conditions for LIFE Project Direct Beneficiaries implemented by ACF and Skills, Development and Training Needs Assessment implemented through the ACF contracted service of the ACT consulting company; and 2) Discuss key findings of above surveys as well as their conjunction and consistency with IDP Livelihood Action Plan (LAP) aiming at development of recommendations on the way forward.
