Field Visit to IDP Settlment

On September 18, 2018 Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) organized field visit to multi-store building at #112 Agmashenebeli avenue in Kutaisi where, together with locals, IDPs are resettled and workshop with the representatives of the state Legal Aid Service (LAS).

During field visit, there was a meeting organized with IDPs living in the building and who are resettled there in the frame of the “durable housing” program.  The visit was attended by the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). IDPs informed about the issues they face in the building, particularly about non-functioning elevator which creates a lot of obstacles for resident’s movement in multi-store building.

The field visit and workshop were organized in the frame of the “Free Legal Aid for IDPs in Georgia” project implemented with financial support from the United National High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
