Within the framework of the “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” project LAG Consortium representative supports the establishment of Home-Owners Associations (HOAs), including facilitation and extract from the National Agency of Public Registry of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, services of the Notary Bureau, printing stamps for HOAs and ensuring the registration within the relevant administrative district. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Sustainable Development Center – Remissia, Charity Humanitarian Centre “Abkhazeti" (CHCA) and the German NGO - Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe (IWO).

LAG Consortium representative continues to support the establishment and development of Home-Owners Associations (HOAs) within the framework of the “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” project. During the field visits, the project lawyer offers legal counseling to HOA chairs and members on crucial for the community issues. Technical Assistance Center (TAC) has been established in Saburtalo District Gamgeoba to provide information and advice to homeowners to improve awareness in the field of housing management. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Sustainable Development Center – Remissia, Charity Humanitarian Centre “Abkhazeti" (CHCA) and the German NGO - Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe (IWO).

On June 26, 2017, LAG Consortium organized a workshop where representatives of the Union of the Home-Owners Associations (HOA) from Saburtalo District Gamgeoba and Technical Assistance Center (TAC) were invited and discussed partnership opportunities and TAC’s Development Plan. The meeting was conducted within the framework of the “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Sustainable Development Center – Remissia, Charity Humanitarian Centre “Abkhazeti" (CHCA) and the German NGO - Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe (IWO). On June14, 2017, representatives of the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) and the Institute of Democratic Governance and Innovation met the Mayor of Tbilisi Mr. David Narmania. During the meeting the representatives of both organizations presented current projects and discussed cooperation mechanisms. In particular, the project “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” was presented.
