On September 13, 2016 Livelihood Initiatives to Foster Employability and Entrepreneurship of IDPs and host populations in Georgia - “LIFE Georgia” Project closing event took place in Senaki. The project was funded by the European Union (EU) and aimed to contribute to poverty reduction among conflict affected / displaced persons and their host communities in Georgia by facilitating their socioeconomic integration and inclusive participation in broader economic development processes. Achieved results illustrated through the documentary film about the project were presented to the invited guests.

IDP Livelihoods Workshops in Zugdidi and Gori.

The IDP Livelihood workshops were organized and conducted in Zugdidi on July 22th and Gori on July 27th by the international foundation “Action Against Hunger” (ACF) and its partner civil society organization “Social Programs Foundation” (SPF) and “Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) in the scope of “Livelihood Initiatives to Foster Employability and Entrepreneurship of IDPs and host populations in Georgia - “LIFE Georgia” project funded by the European Union (EU) in Georgia.

Legal Training Module on Business and Entrepreneurship Skills.

The Legal Training Module on Business and Entrepreneurship Skills was developed by the non-commercial non-profit legal entity Social Programs Foundation (SPF) and the non-commercial non-profit legal entity the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG). The Training Module was created within the frameworks of the program “Livelihoods Initiatives to Foster Employability and Entrepreneurship of IDPs and Host Populations in Georgia – “LIFE Georgia””. “LIFE Georgia” project aims to contribute to poverty reduction among conflict affected / displaced persons and their host communities in Georgia by facilitating their socioeconomic integration and inclusive participation in broader economic development processes.

On July 27, 2016 Social Programs Foundation (SPF), Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) and international non-governmental organization Action Against Hunger (ACF) conducted workshop in Gori Municipality within the project “Livelihood Initiatives to Foster Employability and Entrepreneurship of IDPs and host populations in Georgia - “LIFE Georgia”. During the workshop the following topics were discussed:
- Presentation of 2 surveys - 1) base-line survey on the socioeconomic status of LIFE project direct beneficiaries and 2) capacity, skills, development and training needs (CSDT assessment) - to local government representatives;
- Highlighting links between the above mentioned surveys and Livelihood Action Plan as well as developing specific recommendations.
The representatives of MRA, IDP Livelihood LEPL, Gori municipality (Gamgeoba and Sakrebulo), Social Service Agency, Educational Resource Center, various Colleges and civil society organizations participated in the workshop. The participants discussed the findings of the surveys and worked out specific recommendations.
