LAG Consortium protection team conducted a training on positive parenting, inclusive and other education opportunities in targeted communities. The training is implemented within “Supporting Human Rights and Protection of Internally Displaced People in Georgia” project. The goal of the project is to address human rights and protection challenges of Internally Displaced Persons through providing effective protection, referral, advocacy and capacity building services. The project is implemented by the “Consortium Legal Aid Georgia” (LAG) in partnership with “Save the Children” (SCI) and is funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM).

On March 14-15, 2017 Georgian Association of Social Workers (GASW) conducted workshop for LAG Consortium staff members on positive parenting and inclusive education. Training topics included but were not limited to family management styles, tackling aggression, educational requirements for students with special needs.

On March 6, 2017 LAG Consortium together with Save the Children hosted the visit of the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM) in IDP settlement in Tskaltubo. During the meeting with IDPs, the guests were informed about the issues faced by the residents and their needs.
